Jennifer Hudson spoke out on behalf of her family for the first time since Friday's double homicide deaths of her mother Darnell Donerson and brother Jason via her official myspace blog. Her 7-year-old nephew Julian King-the son of her sister Julia and boyfriend Greg King - is still missing and there's an Amber Alert for his whereabouts. The key suspect William Balfour (Julia's ex husband) has since been taken into police custody.

"Thank you all for your prayers and your calls. Please keep praying for our family and that we get Julian King back home safely. If anyone has any information about his whereabouts please contact the authorities immediately. Here is a picture of Julian and what he was last seen wearing. UPDATE 1: Julia Hudson held a press conference where she pleaded for the return of her son.



UPDATE 2: Senator and Democratic Presidential Nominee Barack Obama issued a statement:

"Michelle and I were absolutely heartbroken to learn about this unimaginable tragedy, and we want Jennifer and to know that she is in our thoughts and prayers during this very difficult time. We also pray for the swift and safe return of her young nephew.”

UPDATE 3: Jennifer Hudson and her family have offered a $100,000 reward for the safe return of her nephew who has been missing since Friday.

UPDATE 4: Police in Chicago found the body of a young black boy in a 1994 white Chevrolet Suburban on Monday but there's no confirmation about the identity. The license plate on the car matches the one posted in the Amber Alert for Julian. News media in Chicago believe it's the body of Jennifer's missing nephew.

UPDATE 5: In devastating news for the Hudson family, police identified the body as Julian King who suffered multiple gunshot wounds. Jennifer Hudson was asked to confirm from a video image at the Cook County Medical Examiner's office that the body was her nephew.
