Miss Chi Chi's Best Music 2006
2006 was the year of T.I and Kelis! These two artists commanded us with "What U Know" and "Bossy."
T.I. "What You Know."
Look out for cameos by the "ATL" movie cast Lauren London, Evan Ross, Jason Weaver and Jackie Long.
Kelis "Bossy"
And now ontot the honorable mentions of 2006. These songs had us grooving this year.
LeToya "Torn"
Toya climbed back on top of her R&B game after her fallout with Destiny's Child and Mathew Knowles.
Justin Timberlake featuring T.I "My Love"
Before it was officially released as a single radio station started playing this song!
Beyonce featuring Jay-Z "Deja Vu"
The song that ignited the crazy online petition. This song had us jumping in the clubs.
John Legend "Save Room"
JL bought back R&B with some dignity all the while he was shirtless.
Gnarls Barkley "Crazy"
Off-beat and unique. Cee-Lo went left instead of right like his competition and we all eat it up!
Brooke Hogan featuring Paul Wall "About Us"
Who knew Hulk Hogan's baby girl can dance AND sing?!?
Chingy featuring Tyrese "Pulling Me Back"
Chingy sang directly to us females with this hot one and we love him for that.
Ciara "Promise"
Ciara with her smooth dance moves and breezy vocals gave us chills. Ciara easily pulled off her tomboy stance with poise and ease in this video!
Janet featuring JD and Khia "So Excited"
Janet got us all "excited" with this club banger. I love the remix with Fatman Scoop and Fabulous.
One Chance featuring Fabo "Look at Her"
Usher introduced his boy group to us and they provided with a little Chi-Town swagger.
Monica featuring Dem Franchize Boys "Everytime The Beat Drops"
Monica bought back the heat with the help of Dem Franchize Boys
Cassie "Me & U"
This song interrupted Usher's premiere night on Broadway's "Chicago" momentarily. Yeah Bad Boy came back on top with the help of this song.
Danity Kane "Showstopper"
What a catchy song by Making the Band finalists! Diddy did his thing with this one!
Yung Joc "I Know You See it"
Joc just gave us hit after hit this year.
Fergie "Fergalicious"
Admit it you change the lyrics of the song to fit your name, lol! I know I did!
Jay-Z "Show Me What You Got"
He had us fooled with that "retirement" gap but when he came back he taunt us with what he got!
Rihanna "Unfaithful"
This song cemented Rihanna's music career in 2006. "Unfaithful" ignited rumors of her stepping out with Beyonce's man, Jay-Z. Beyonce supposedly written "Ring the Alarm" as the kiss off! I sort of wish Miss RiRi was stepping out with Beyonce's former back-up dancer Anthony Burrell instead of Jigga. Anthony plays Rihanna's man in the video you're about to watch now.
Bow Wow featuring Chris Brown "Shortie Like Mine"
Chris had "Say Goodbye" and Bow Wow had "Fresh AzMiz" so when they came together on this song they killed it!
Cherish "Do It To It"
Tell me you didn't find yourself snapping to this song!
Omarion "Ice Box"
Omarion's vocals is real business R&B and his ex Solange Knowles-Smith played his video honey.
Tyrese "One"
So yeah Tyrese exposed his hidden rap skills but he hit us off with his smooth R&B self. I love the way he broke it all down to ONE!
Mary J Blige "Take Me as I Am"
MJB did it again and she got the multiple Grammy nomination to support my claim. She deserves all of her recent accolades. I'm just happy she came out with my favorite song off "The Breakthrough."
Robin Thicke "Lost Without You"
Why is his music so underrated?!?! yeah that's his wife Paula Patton in the video.
Corine Bailey Rae "Put Your Records On"
Dare I say our generation's Sade remixed?!?
