As expected Kanye West showed off his latest Louis Vuitton sneaker during Paris Fashion Week. Creative director Marc Jacobs seemed to approve Kanye's funky red design. So far Kanye launched two of his 6 LV designs. You have to admire Kanye's Monogramouflage Speedy. Estelle was also in Louis Vuitton gear - Stephen Strouse monogram Graffiti scarf - to be precise at her birthday celebration. John Legend (her Homeschool Records boss/music partner in crime) hosted the party right after his concert gig at Stingaree Nightclub in San Diego. Estelle already started working on her follow-up to last album Shine.

John Legend and Estelle interviewed one another for MySpace's Artist on Artist in support of his new album, "Evolver." (FYI: Estelle is the first lady on John's record label, Homeschool Records.) Estelle asked him what he'll do if he ruled the world and one of the changes he'll do is eliminate crappy records. (I can so co-sign that notion!) He also declared 2009 as the no swagger year. (LOL!) It's a great clip so check it out...


Anyhow I love that trendy Louis Vuitton monogram scarf Estelle has on! Speaking of Estelle, she did a new song/commerical spot for Snopp Dogg's "Fatherhood." John said his next single is "It's Over" featuring Kanye West. Interesting...

Leona Lewis was not the only star/singer at Justin Timberlake's Friends Benefit concert. In a lime green bustier and high-waist black leggings, Rihanna belt out her hits "Disturbia" and "Umbrella" at the event. (Her single, "Umbrella" was named the catchiest song ever.) JT even joined her on stage. Prior to her performance set, Rihanna breezed throught the Miracle Mile Mall in Vegas on a Segway.



Estelle and John Legend attended and performed at the 2008 MOBO awards, which Melanie Brown hosted. John signed Estelle onto his record label, Homeschool Records and the two have since collaborated on one another's albums. Their hard efforts paid off because Estelle picked up two wins (Best U.K female & Best Song For "American Boy") at the music event. Next up for Estelle is a duet with Atomic Kitten's Liz McLarnon as reported by The Mirror.



Fantasia stepped out for Jermaine Dupri's pre-BET Hip-Hop Awards party in Atlanta, Georgia. The R&B singer has been busy in the studio recording new material for her next album. You can also check out her duet with her fellow "American Idol" vet Jennifer Hudson in this earlier post.



Corbin Bleu and Monique Coleman looked fab at the "High School Musical 3: Senior Year" premiere. (I actually like the last one thanks to my 2-year-old nephew.) The third installment of the popular Disney franchise has its U.S premiere on October 24th. Also at the premiere was actress Kimberly Elise with her 10-year-old daughter Butterly.

John Legend collaborated with Brandy on this new leak single, "Quickly" off his upcoming album, "Evolver." This Midi Mafia/Dapo Torimiro-produced track has hit written all over it. The groove and the melody are simply divine! John's third solo album is due out October 28th. (Thanks Stuff Fly People Like!) According to a recent Rap-Up report, Brandy's album release date for her upcoming fifth music project "Human" was pushed back to December 9th.




A new Rihanna track called "Sexuality" floated around the music scene this weekend. Stargate, the producer behind a few of Rihanna's previous hits like "Unfaithful" and "Take A Bow", worked on this new leaked song. I agree with Brown Sista on her point that "Sexuality" sounds like Prince's 1981 hit, "Controversy" but the beat is still consistent with today's sound. Rumor has it this single is new material from Rihanna's upcoming album which she was seen working on with Chris Brown in Hollywood. (Thanks Rihanna Daily!)

T.I and Rihanna's single, "Live Your Life" was one of the highlights from the recent VMA's and now their collaboration just got extended. (Thanks Domi & Story!) Speaking of T.I, he just received a nomination from the upcoming BET Hip Hop Awards. Rihanna was picked as one of "People" magazine's best dressed star of 2008 for their annual best & worst dressed list. Why Rihanna made the list: As if her much-copied hair wasn't enough to earn her a spot on this list, Rihanna hit all the right notes in her sophisticated mix of glamorous gowns, like her yellow Giambattista Valli, and funky dresses, including this feathered Zac Posen. Solange dropped by "The View" for a brief interview and a performance of her second single, "Sandcastle Disco." Solange seem to ease up her unique fashion sense...even her hair was toned down. Peep the end of the video to see Solange explain to Miss Walters that her hair is sown in. Earlier this month, Solange was spotted out and about in New York City with a black patent leather Emporio Armani "Audrey" bowling bag. (Oh the perks of being the Armani Jeans Ambassador...)

Chanel Iman and Ryan Leslie kept their new couple on the scene status at the Samsung's imagination icon series premiere event for Valentino. These two have been seen together quite often...but they're just friends for the moment.



Also at the Valentino event were Mary J Blige, Vivica A. Fox, and Kendu Isaacs. MJB wore a black snakeskin Valentino bow clutch with her red ruffle dress. FOOTCANDY.COM has Mary's clutch listed for $995 but NEIMANMARCUS.COM has the clutch in a metallic style for $895.


Tyra Banks celebrated her recent Harper's Bazaar cover gig with a party. Tyra was named as the top earning woman on TV with estimated $23 million. Fellow model/friend Heidi Klum ranked in as number 2 with $14 million. It must be nice to be Tyra Banks, huh?



John Legend and Andre 3000 dropped by MTV's "TRL" to premiere their new music video, "Green Light." John also visited BET's "106 & Park" to promote the new single and he also said vocals from Brandy and Kanye West are featured on his upcoming record, "Evolver."
