CIARA - NEVER EVER VIDEO
Ciara released the video treatment for her new single, "Never Ever" featuring Young Jeezy last night on BET's "Access Granted." True to form, Ciara exhibited the one known factor about her talent - dancing.

click HERE if you can't see the video.

I love that Ciara and the video director Chris Robinson added a snippet of "Promise" in the beginning. Close friend Monica and Usher's R&B group One Chance added brief appearances in the video. Cici's video honey is cute!

Polow Da Don and Ciara arguably have musical chemistry as he spinned the classic Harold Melvin & the Blue Notes’ “If You Don’t Know Me by Now" for this new Cici track.

"Never Ever" would lead off Ciara's much delayed yet highly anticipated third solo effort Fantasy Ride with appearances by T-Pain, Ludacris, Justin Timberlake and Chris Brown. Hopefully "Never Ever" would then ignite buzz back into the project. Go ahead Super C!

ONE CHANCE

In a recent interview with DJ Booth, One Chance said that they will be the opening act for Janet's forthcoming tour.
Jon: Tentatively, our album will be released by August, September-ish. We wanna make sure we have two singles bangin’ on radio, and everybody is enjoyin’ those, and right when we’re goin’ on tour, go ahead and enjoy the album, because, now we got the album and we about to be on tour, so it’s not a long wait. It’s almost like killin’ two birds with one stone, you feel me? And that tour that we’ll be goin’ on will be Usher’s tour – just wanted to throw that in. And we’re gonna hit Janet’s tour up too.

DJ Booth: Okay so Usher, Janet – together they’ve sold about five million. I think you guys are in good hands.

Courtney: Yeah, great hands. These are icons, you feel me? It’s really a blessing for us to be able to be on these tours. [QUOTE VIA DJBOOTH.NET]

In related news, Janet picked the Ne-Yo written mid-tempo "Can't B Good" as her third single off "Discipline". Hate to say that I was hoping Janet would release "Luv" or "Rollercoaster" as the follow-up song to "Rock Wit U".

USHER'S LOVE IN THIS CLUB VIDEO

With Keri Hilson as his love interest, the video treatment for Usher's new single, "Love In This Club" featuring Young Jeezy finally hit the blogosphere.

The club-based video has cameos from Robin Thicke, One Chance, Polow Da Don, Kanye West, Diddy, and Nelly.

There's no denying the chemistry between Usher and Keri as they've been friends on paper since his "Confessions" and his film project "In The Mix". So one can see why his wife Tameka reportedly went into a 'hissy' fit - which Usher has since slammed down the reports.

In a recent interview with "106 & Park", Usher said the album "Here I Stand" is a journey about love that men can identify with. Maybe this is why the dancing was pushed off to the end??? Usher claims there's a part two to the The Brothers Strause-directed video.

Four years after the record-breaking album "Confessions", Usher's upcoming studio effort, "Here I Stand" drops May 27th and not this June.

Usher & One Chance does "VIBE"
Usher and his R&B group One Chance has an interesting tidbit in the April issue of "VIBE" magazine.
Dec 29, 2006
The night after the Chicago show, the Scream Tour hits Cleveland. It's another night of work: dancers steam-cleaning their clothes, meet-and-greets with radio contest winners, and so on. A notable difference, though, is the prescene of Usher Raymond IV, who shows up for his proteges One Chance, the first act signed to his Us Records label. "I wanted to...show my support for the young crooners," says Raymond. "They did a really good job. Everybody's on a path of growing up." He watches the show from the arena floor, surrounded by staff in the soundboard booth. But girls still scream for Usher. When a hopeful spectator taps a photographer to ask, "Can you help me talk to Usher?" and is told no, she breaks into sobs. But Usher's already made at least a few dreams come true. The previous night, in their hometown, the twenty-somethings of One Chance wandered out into the stands of Allstate Arena, much to the chagrin of their security team. One Chance was hardly fazed. "We remember where we came from," said OC's Rob Brent, gesturing toward the girls getting autographs by the concession stands. "That used to be us."

JHud's 2nd photoshoot
JHud
Last month, I posted some classy pictures from JHud's 1st photoshoot and now here's another fresh patch. Jennifer's gearing up for her debut record which is still untitled. Ne-Yo is one of the hot producers that will be working with her. I don't know if these pictures will be used as promotion for her album or for another project JHud has lined up. Bottom line, these are some nice shots of the Oscar winner. [I'm going to say that her weave job could have been done much better though but I'm just saying....]

JHud
[pic credit: J-HUDSON.ORG]
I don't know how I miss this story but JHud recently cleared up a few rumors tossed her way on her official myspace page:
"hey guys. once again i think its time to address these rumors thats been going on about me. there are 3 main ones that has been floating around and i want to address them personally so you guys can know the truth

1.) i turned down a movie role for 3 million dollars because of a nude scene and i wasnt the person getting nude. nothing about that is true. i want to do my album. and my fans have waited so patiently for me to put out an album and i appreciate everyone of you, thats why im focused on putting out my first project. and yes i will continue to still do movies.

2.) all of the american idol stuff and burger king comments. i never said anything about if i was better at burger king i would not be there either. and yes i did say american idol was a stepping stone. which it is! i didnt mean it in a bad way. and as i said in my previous interviews american idol is a stepping stone because had it not been for them no one would of knew of a jennifer hudson to call to audition for dreamgirls! its like everything i say referring to the show gets twisted around and makes me look like im being arrogant and a "diva", since alot of people seems to have that opinion about me and that is not me at all. im not bothered by these rumors because im use to it but i do read the boards and i see my fans are upset by some of the negative rumors concerning me and that is what hurts me the most is to see people who care about me being impacted by all of this.

3.) the soul train awards show and me trying to sabotage it by not showing up. only thing i can say to this is that i was there! and i appreciate being honored there just as much as i appreciated being honored at the all the award shows i attended. but once again im just writing this for my fans, supporters, and friends who want to know the truth. i am a person with feelings and although i have been warned that things like this would happen to me. and since i am new to this let me be the first to tell you that i have sat back not to long ago just like you guys .I read things about my favorite artist and let me tell you since im experiencing this first hand you guys cant believe everything you read because its not true. o one more thing. im grateful for all my blessings and i thank God for it everyday and no amount of fame will ever go to my head and make me think that im better than anyone because we are all equal. and as quickly as God gave everything he has given me he can take it away!

Miss Chi Chi's Best Music 2006
2006 was the year of T.I and Kelis! These two artists commanded us with "What U Know" and "Bossy."

T.I. "What You Know."
T.I
Look out for cameos by the "ATL" movie cast Lauren London, Evan Ross, Jason Weaver and Jackie Long.

Kelis "Bossy"
Kelis is a Boss

And now ontot the honorable mentions of 2006. These songs had us grooving this year.
LeToya "Torn"
Toya
Toya climbed back on top of her R&B game after her fallout with Destiny's Child and Mathew Knowles.

Justin Timberlake featuring T.I "My Love"
Before it was officially released as a single radio station started playing this song!
JT

Beyonce featuring Jay-Z "Deja Vu"
Bee and J
The song that ignited the crazy online petition. This song had us jumping in the clubs.

John Legend "Save Room"
JL
JL bought back R&B with some dignity all the while he was shirtless.

Gnarls Barkley "Crazy"
Gnarls Barkley
Off-beat and unique. Cee-Lo went left instead of right like his competition and we all eat it up!

Brooke Hogan featuring Paul Wall "About Us"
Brooke
Who knew Hulk Hogan's baby girl can dance AND sing?!?

Chingy featuring Tyrese "Pulling Me Back"
Chingy
Chingy sang directly to us females with this hot one and we love him for that.

Ciara "Promise"
CiCi
Ciara with her smooth dance moves and breezy vocals gave us chills. Ciara easily pulled off her tomboy stance with poise and ease in this video!

Janet featuring JD and Khia "So Excited"
janet
Janet got us all "excited" with this club banger. I love the remix with Fatman Scoop and Fabulous.

One Chance featuring Fabo "Look at Her"
One Chance
Usher introduced his boy group to us and they provided with a little Chi-Town swagger.

Monica featuring Dem Franchize Boys "Everytime The Beat Drops"
Monica
Monica bought back the heat with the help of Dem Franchize Boys

Cassie "Me & U"
Cassie
This song interrupted Usher's premiere night on Broadway's "Chicago" momentarily. Yeah Bad Boy came back on top with the help of this song.

Danity Kane "Showstopper"
Danity Kane and Beyonce
What a catchy song by Making the Band finalists! Diddy did his thing with this one!

Yung Joc "I Know You See it"
Joc, Cassie and Diddy
Joc just gave us hit after hit this year.

Fergie "Fergalicious"
fergie
Admit it you change the lyrics of the song to fit your name, lol! I know I did!

Jay-Z "Show Me What You Got"
Jay-Z
He had us fooled with that "retirement" gap but when he came back he taunt us with what he got!

Rihanna "Unfaithful"
RiRi
This song cemented Rihanna's music career in 2006. "Unfaithful" ignited rumors of her stepping out with Beyonce's man, Jay-Z. Beyonce supposedly written "Ring the Alarm" as the kiss off! I sort of wish Miss RiRi was stepping out with Beyonce's former back-up dancer Anthony Burrell instead of Jigga. Anthony plays Rihanna's man in the video you're about to watch now.

Bow Wow featuring Chris Brown "Shortie Like Mine"
Shad Moss and Chris Brown
Chris had "Say Goodbye" and Bow Wow had "Fresh AzMiz" so when they came together on this song they killed it!

Cherish "Do It To It"
cherish
Tell me you didn't find yourself snapping to this song!

Omarion "Ice Box"
freaky Omarion
Omarion's vocals is real business R&B and his ex Solange Knowles-Smith played his video honey.

Tyrese "One"
Tyrese and Megan
So yeah Tyrese exposed his hidden rap skills but he hit us off with his smooth R&B self. I love the way he broke it all down to ONE!

Mary J Blige "Take Me as I Am"
MJB
MJB did it again and she got the multiple Grammy nomination to support my claim. She deserves all of her recent accolades. I'm just happy she came out with my favorite song off "The Breakthrough."

Robin Thicke "Lost Without You"
Robin Thicke
Why is his music so underrated?!?! yeah that's his wife Paula Patton in the video.

Corine Bailey Rae "Put Your Records On"
Corrine Bailey Rae at Grammy Nomination announcement
Dare I say our generation's Sade remixed?!?

Justin Timberlake, Nelly Furtado and Timbaland at Jingle Ball

Labels: Best of 2006, Bow Wow, Brooke Hogan, Chris Brown, Ciara, Corrine Bailey Rae, John Legend, Kelis, Lenny Kravitz, One Chance, Rihanna, Robin Thicke, T.I, Tyrese/Black-Ty

Inside Look: Who is One Chance?

One Chance - That's My Word

Back to back One Chance posts...I know!

Usher's first male R&B group off his record label, Us Records. The video you're most likely watching now
is the group's single called "That's My Word." You're also counting FIVE boys not the current four.
Terrell left the group for undisclosed reasons. Is Usher's group taking a page from the early days of Destiny's Child? Naw..just joking
I couldn't resist going there! lol!

One Chance's song "That's My word" was featured on
Usher's debut starring film role, "In the Mix" last November. Grab a copy of the "In The Mix" soundtrack
to listen to One Chance's second single, "Could This be Love."

However...
Is One Chance R&B's new 112?!?! They're two ATL-based group (One Chance's orginally from
Chi-Town though). Check out their slow ballads "So Emotional" and the crunk&b jam
"Don't Stop" off the group's official myspace friend. http://myspace.com/onechancefans

Their lead single off their anticipated debut is called "Look at Her" featuring Fabo from D4L.
