John Legend , fresh from celebrating Kanye West's birthday at the Louis Vuitton store in New York City, was spotted at the 2007 Award of Hope Gala to honor Michael Ball of Rock & Republic. The event was held at the Beverly Wilshire Hotel in Beverly Hills this past weekend:

Andre Agassi, Sheryl Crow, Alicia Keys, talk show host Ellen DeGeneres and snowboarder Shaun White all appear in a special new advert for American Express. The stars all appear in a segment where they are being filmed by legendary director Martin Scorsese, talking about how they can improve the world. As they are filming, a stranger walks on to the set by accident and soon becomes the "star" or the advert. The ad is for American Express's 'The Members Project' which says "enables American Express Card members to come together as a community to submit project ideas for making a positive impact in the world". Members then rate and discuss their ideas and ultimately vote and choose one idea that American Express will help bring to life with up to $5 million.
