50 CENT & KANYE WEST DOES ROLLING STONE
With that spoof magazine cover behind us, Kanye West and 50 Cent have in fact posted for Rolling Stone’s next cover.
Their albums "Curtis" and "Graduation" drops on September 11th, which is now dubbed as hip-hop's showdown.
Here’s an excerpt of “Who Will Be The King Of Hip-Hop?”:
“My first album was the highest-selling LP of 2003,” 50 Cent says, pointing to the fact that 2003’s Get Rich or Die Tryin’ moved more than 800,000 copies in the four days after it dropped. He goes on to note that his follow-up, The Massacre, was the second-highest-selling album of 2005. “That album sold something like 1.14 million in four days. Jay-Z’s last album sold something like 1.6 total. Kanye works for Jay-Z. Kanye is a worker bee. He’s never been able to generate a fraction of the interest that I have.”
Kanye said: “Hip-hop is the only sport of music. And these are like championship moments.” 50 added: “We’ve gotta compete.” [CL via Rolling Stone]
