from what i understand mariah is playing a different role then what was offered to janet . the director wanted janet to gain weight because he wanted people to see janet in a different way and that's why he asked janet to gain weight .

i think this new role janet has in Tyler Perry movie is a good look for her if she wants to return back to movies. janet in spite of 'scandals' is good standing unlike MJ. now MJ is a whole different story all together. I respect MJ's music...I was just rocking to "off the wall." jacksons definitely influence music today.
i just hope mariah doesn't make this new movie of hers another 'glitter.' no wait 'glitter' wasn't as bad as the media played it to be...

i used to like 2 quarters when he first came out , but after he ruined ja rule's career and went commercial ( the same thing that he bitched at ja for doing ) , i lost alot of respect for him. there's room in the biz for th both of them. all this beef this and beef that is unnecessary. fiddy and eminem belong together . now they use controversy to sell records when at first all they needed was their talent .
glitter really wasn't that bad. it wasn't oscar worthy or golden globe worthy , but i have seen worst ( example: from justin to kelly. need i sat more ? lol).sony made glitter too watered down . mariah wanted glitter to be edgier and grittier, but sony changed alot of what she wanted ( this is coming from mariah . i don't know if it's true or not , but considering how much control sony had over her career i wouldn't put it past them). i don't think the new movie will suffer as glitter did because mariah isn't the main character . the media is just promoting her because she's a bigger star in the movie. kind of like the promotion for dreamgirls and beyonce. i would have loved for both janet and mariah to have been in the movie, but i can't wait to see the new tyler perry joint. i love anything he does.
have you ever seen wisegirls with mira sorvino and mariah ? if not you might want to rent it . mariah did way better in that movie than she did in glitter. she played an edgier character . she should have done this film first .

IF "Glitter" was as bad as movie critics supposedly claim it was then why is VH1 playing it on their network every other month for like an entire weekend?!? things that make me go hmm...
i barely see that from justin to kelly film---wrong wrong WRONG move for justin and kelly. [i know justin's doing a new movie now as we speak and he wore a wig just to distance himself from his 'american idol' persona.]
terrence howard and eric benet were great supporting cast members to mariah. i even like little mariah from the beginning of the movie. now about her love interest/manager--umm no! they could have gotten the guy from "prime" to play that role!
i haven't seen the edgier mariah movie but i heard nothing but good things about the movie.
now onto 25-50 nickels (lol!) you're right about him and eminem. they're like the hiphop version to madonna and britney spears those two! they spring up controversary and still stand. janet slip her nipple and people are still hang up on it like it happened yesterday. -smh-

one titty did not ruin the whole world. they needed a scapegoat and they found one in janet . now she's still suffering for something that happened years ago and it's unfair.
terrence howard should have been mariah's love interest in glitter , but sony would never let her have a black man as a love interest .they were too busy trying to market her to a white audience. the guy that played the love interest should have played terrence's part.
i was so waiting for that janet/mariah duet that jermaine dupri kept bringing up. now that janet is off of virgin records it might just happen. i don't want them to do the same type of song that mariah and whitney did though . something upbeat or man haterish / the boy is mine type stuff. it would be interesting to hear what they sound like together .i agree if they had did in the honey/velvet rope days the joint would have been hot.

Before Mariah came out and said what's her ethnicity I always thought she was white/Spanish. I lean towards Spanish especially she broke down in the language in her "Honey" music video.
FCC needed an excuse to start 'cleaning' up airwaves/the media...and they used Janet as an example. Why couldn't have used that Madonna/britney/xtina kiss as one is besides me. anyhow i'm over that discussion for now...but i was mad at how it all went down.
ciara, omarion AND Chris would all sound hot together. I can just imagine the video. i sure would ciara and omarion pitch the idea to one another when Omarion was on "TRL." I also wish Ciara and Chris pitch a song idea together when they were doing "Rip the Runway." now as for the song for all three something as upbeat as 'run it' with a little bit of 'goodies' and 'entourage.' that would be one hot song/video to watch. we haven't had a two/three dancers up in a video together...since MJ and Janet and that video was HOT!
at first when I watch 'glitter' i thought they would hook mariah up with terrence because all in his other movies terrence always manage to get the hot girls. mariah and her love interest were as awkward as J.Lo and Mathew McConguahey in "The Wedding Planner." [J.Lo had much more chemistry with Justin Chambers that Mat!]
I'm quite sure JD is working on getting Mariah and Janet to do something together. Shoot they should even try to do a guest spot on each other's albums as a teaser until they do a song together. [that'll be hot!]
the song can go with the same flow as that j.lo and ja rule song "i'm real" or as smooth as brandy and monica's the boy is mine. though if they start singing over some guy, watch the media say they're fighting over JD.
