SPOTTED HOOPLA AROUND THE RED CARPET
Miss Badu in Detriot

Erykah Badu performed with The Roots at the Fox Theater in Detroit, Michigan. Check out those Christian Louboutin's - FIERCE!

IMAN AND DAVID BOWIE

Iman (in a red D&G gown) pose with her husband David Bowie at the Costume Institute Gala at the MET last night. "People" magazine honored Iman for her ageless beauty in their 100 Most Beautiful List.

ZOE KRAVITZ WITH IN A MINT SUEDE DRESS

Also at the fashion-forward event was Lenny Kravitz and Lisa Bonet's daughter Zoe Kravitz. And I can't help but notice Janet Jackson and her fab Versace dress out in the background. I do love Zoe's mint green suede dress...and her role in Jay-Z's "I Know" music video.

FERGIE IN CK

Fergie (who took a brief from recording her sophomore solo effort with Polow Da Don in ATL) was seen at the MET in a black Calvin Klein number. On the red carpet Fergie pose with Hilary Duff (in Elie Saab) and Molly Simms (in Versace).

eVA mENDES IN CK

Eva Mendes (the new face of Calvin Klein) wore a light blue look from CK (Duh!) and Sergio Rossi heels. Eva pose with a CK-wearing Liv Tyler at the event. CK was on a roll at the event, huh?

One-time divas

Patti LaBelle, Chaka Khan, Diana Ross, and Gladys Knight all had top billing at "Divas With Heart" Benefit Concert over at Radio City Music Hall. You simply gotta love these one-name only divas!

WHY THE WIZ IS NOT A GREAT URBAN FILM
THE WIZ

Real Gossip 101 recently reported about the 10 Greatest Black Movies of All-Time that AOL Black Voices complied together.

Here's the list:
1. The Five Heartbeats (1991)
2. A Soldier's Story (1984)
3. The Color Purple (1985)
4. Cooley High (1975)
5. Ray (2004)
6. Glory (1989)
7. Love Jones (1997)
8. What's Love Got To Do With It? (1993)
9. Ali (2001)
10. Do The Right Thing (1989).

Somehow, "The Wiz" did not make the list! "The Wiz" was released back in 1978 with an all-star cast that had Diana Ross, Michael Jackson, Lena Horne, and Richard Pryor. I think this movie should have made the list because of the soundtrack. I know some may agree with this list but for those who don't, which urban film YOU think should have been recognized.

CIARA PAYS TRIBUTE TO DIANA ROSS

Yesterday the Kennedy Center Honors came on, all eyes were position on R&B songbird Ciara who paid tribute to Diana Ross via live performances of Ross' hits, "I'm Coming Out" and "Upside Down".

Diana Ross and the Supremes paved the way for many contemporary acts past and present. So I decided to highlight these said singers paying tribute to Diana Ross.

Beyonce-"I'm Coming Out"

Destiny's Child-"Say My Name"/"Upside Down"

Mariah Carey, Faith Hil-"Ain't No Mountain High Enough"

Stevie Wonder, Chaka Khan and Erykah Badu at the 2007 BET Awards

MJ-"Upside Down"
