Good friends Keyshia Cole and Monica partied at the Platinum party at the Velvet Room in Atlanta to celebrate the release of Keyshia's third solo record, "A Different Me" and ATLPICS.NET was on the scene with the photos. According to Necole Bitchie the two were also spotted at the Dreamz nightclub on New Year's Eve.



Teyana Taylor performed and danced to Beyonce's hit, "Single Ladies" as a tribute during one of her recent performances in Brooklyn, New York. (Thanks Fresh & Fab!) Fast forward to :30 to check it out...


I think Teyana did a great job with the song and dance moves. Teyana's new single with Pharrell called "I Feel Alive (Spinnin’)" drops sometime this month.

Danity Kane vocalist Dawn Richard and Pharrell's protege Teyana Taylor attended the Toys for Tots event hosted by The Fashion Reporter, Land Rover Manhattan, and Bloomingdales Saturday night. (The event celebrated Fashion Reporter's third anniversary and it was also hosted by Dawn.)



Dawn arrived in a purple strapless Nicole Miller jersey dress and metallic Givenchy Open Toe d'Orsay heels. If Dawn's outfit looks familar, that's because Alicia Keys wore the same dress with Jimmy Choo snake patchwork sandals to the TIFF premiere of "Secret Life of Bees." Dawn talked briefly about her significance of her new tattoo which goes up and down her back. (Waits for the video to load...)

Solange has finally filmed her "T.O.N.Y" music video in New York City and blog, Urban News Network TV was on the scene capturing the fun. Spotted on the set were her sister Beyonce (and that patchwork D&G bag), Teyana Taylor, Kid Cudi, and Cee-Lo who co-wrote the track.



Chris Brown dropped by "The Ellen DeGeneres Show" to talk about his work for the upcoming music projects he worked on for The Game and Britney Spears. He also talked briefly about his good friend Rihanna and the matching star tattoos they both shared. Chris just worked with Nas on his new single, "Make The World Go Round" which you can check out here.

Rihanna hit up the Villa lounge in a pair of Pierre Hardy shoes...the very ones Cassie, Angela Simmons (not pictured) and LaLa were recently photographed with.


On the music tip, Rihanna partnered up with T.I on his new single, "Live Your Life." The twosome can be seen next at the 2008 VMA's... so maybe this track may be the Just Blaze-produced song T.I will debut at the awards ceremony??? Only time will tell...

Speaking of twosome, Rihanna's relationship with Chris Brown has gone up to another level. There are reports that the two plan to live with one another in the near future. “She and Chris want to live together,” a Star insider says. “They play their music loud though, so they want a condo that’s soundproof.” (To that I say, it must be nice!)

Chris and Rihanna were seen outside a Hollywood studio wrapping up a music video treatment. I do love that dress and sneaker combo that Rihanna brillantly pulled off. (Take notice D. Woods and Teyana Taylor...)

Nelly shared a double cover gig with Teyana Taylor, Keri Hilson, and Solange Knowles for the Summer 2008 edition of "Rap Up" magazine. (Thanks for the e-mail, Rap Up!)



Last week, I posted up a behind the scenes clip taken from the cover photo session with Teyana, Keri, and Solange. RAP UP named these three female artists "Brave New Girls" and I couldn't agree more.

In terms of style, personality, and music, Teyana, Keri and Solange are the ones to watch in the music industry. Not to be outdone, RAP UP also included Estelle, Kid Sister, Janelle Monáe, and Wynter Gordon on their "Brave New Girls" list.

Nelly talked about his relationship with Ashanti and he also revealed plans for a joint album with another rap superstar. I wonder who Nelly will do an album with...

It's Solange Knowles, Beyoncé's sister; Teyana Taylor, who's signed to Pharrell's label and whose album's coming out this spring, and Keri Hilson, who's on Timbaland's label and sings on the song "The Way I Are." Women in Entertainment Empowerment Network kicked off their "Don't Judge Me...Empower Me" event at New York City's Hammerstein Ballroom. Celebrity guests included LeToya Luckett, Teyana Taylor, Lil' Mama, MC Lyte, BET host Aleesha Renee, Melyssa Ford, Mashonda, and Valesha Butterfield.

Rihanna's private screening party for "Good Girl Gone Bad: Reloaded" was held last night at the Guesthouse in New York City. Oh No They Didn't has the scoop on Rihanna's upcoming film debut in "Mama Black Widow" which co-stars Mos Def, Kerry Washington, Macy Gray, and Brian J. White.



The event included celebrity guests like LeToya Luckett, Teyana Taylor, Estelle, NY Giants Kerry Khodes, Wynter Gordon, and "ANTM" alum Jaslene Gonzalez.



Prior to the private party, a Thomas Wylde leather jacket-clad Rihanna was seen at "TRL" promoting her album re-release and the new Covergirl commerical.

Erykah Badu performed with QuestLove and Black Thought of The Roots at Mizner Park Amphitheatre in Florida.

Pharrell Williams' latest protege Teyana Taylor took the New York Post shopping for Nike Air Jordans and other fashion-forward necessities.

Teyana explained to the New York-based publication that her style is very much taken from the streets of Harlem...

In a recent interview with BLACKFILM.COM, Melvin James said Lauren London, Chingy, Meagan Good, Cherish, and Teyana Taylor are the lead stars in his new coming-of-age film, "Caramel".

'Caramel' is a story that I wrote. It's about two high school friends that grew up together in Jamaica Estates, Queens. They are best friends, and the coolest in school. It's sort of a love story, a throwback to a film called 'American Graffitti'. It's about teenagers and their cars, and their cliques. It's an all around coming of age story.[BLACKFILM.COM]

According to Melvin, "Caramel" begins production this summer (late June, early July) in New York City and Jamaica Estates, Queens.
