Women in Entertainment Empowerment Network kicked off their "Don't Judge Me...Empower Me" event at New York City's Hammerstein Ballroom. Celebrity guests included LeToya Luckett, Teyana Taylor, Lil' Mama, MC Lyte, BET host Aleesha Renee, Melyssa Ford, Mashonda, and Valesha Butterfield.

A ponytail-wearing Alicia Keys was later seen at the "We Are Together" premiere in New York City. The event was hosted by Keep A Child (a charity foundation Alicia supports.) Alicia took a brief from filming her upcoming music video for her single, "Superwoman" to talk about the song's significance. "Superwoman" also happens to be the final single taken off her "As I Am" record.

“The video is representing all kinds of superwomen, and the exciting part is, not only am I able to be myself in the video, but I’m able to play all of these other women as well."

According to MTV News, Alicia will

"...portray a Somali woman, who crosses miles of scorched earth just to supply her family with fresh drinking water, as well as a cutthroat businesswoman and a female pharaoh."

Mashonda did a interview with "Hip-Hop Weekly" on the whole Swizz Beatz-Alicia Keys rumor. Check out what Mashonda had to say about Alicia:

Toyota and "Essence" magazine hosted the ""If Looks Could Kill" event at Eyebeam in New York City. The fashion forward event brought out Keyshia Cole, Avant, Rosci, Mashonda, Alexis Phifer, and "The Black Carpet" host Donella.


Alexis hosted an impromptu fashion show in support of her line, Ghita while Rosci was seen wearing the same gold Gucci "sevigny" heels once again.



On the gossip tip, Mashonda made her first public appearance since announcing her divorce from Swizz Beatz. At least she had Alexis for support as Alexis spilt up with Kanye West recently.

According to a press release sent to Urban-Hoopla, "If Looks Could Kill" is a new interactive series of webisodes that follows an aspiring fashion designer, Bianca, who's involved in international espionage by night.

Swizz Beatz hosted a birthday party for his wife R&B songstress Mashonda last night at Hilfiger Denim Store in New York City.

For the event, Mashonda wore a curve-hugging Herve Leger mini and a Gucci clutch.
