The video premiere for Teairra Mari's current single, "Hunt For You" featuring Pleasure P finally surfaced online shortly after this video tease. I love what video director Benny Boom tied the song lyrics to a few of the desert scenes.



It's to safe to say that Teairra's back! Rico Love did a great job as producer of "Hunt For You." Teairra's sophomore record, At That Point drops soon with production by The Underdogs, Neff-U, The Movement, DJ Clue, Polow Da Don and Tony Dixon.

According to reports, Keshia Chante recorded a new track called, "I Hope You Cry" (producedy by Timbaland) for the upcoming Aaliyah biopic and soundtrack. Give it a quick listen...


If this song is actually one recorded for the movie, I can safely assume that the film soundtrack producers are not only going to use original Aaliyah songs. Anyone else curious to see who will play Aaliyah's close friends?

Former Princess of the Roc Teairra Mari has come back to the music industry via her new song with Pleasure P called, "Hunt For You." Check out these new promotional snapshots Teairra did in support of her upcoming album, At That Point off her new record label home Fo' Reel Entertainment/Interscope. Teairra talked a little bit about her new song: “The first single is called ‘Hunt for you’, which is about being in a relationship with a guy and he’s changing, he’s acting different. So, you say I’m on the hunt, I’m looking for that sweet, warm embraceable you, that irreplaceable you, that good you. I like that song a lot because that happens all the time”.

Mariah Carey made her music video TV rounds in support of her latest single, "I'll Be Lovin' U Long Time." Along the way, Mariah was seen in mini-dresses and one particular studded boot. That boot (re: Christian Louboutin Ariella) was a look established by Ashley Olsen, Beyonce, and Nicole Scherzinger last year.



If you must know, Mariah addressed all the critical attention her quick marriage to Nick Cannon has had. People are going to say what they say, but what would be the purpose? I guess other people do those things for a purpose, but I don’t know.”

Jennifer Lopez celebrated her 39th birthday in a printed Pucci dress and black Fendi t-strap heels. Those Fendi heels are the same pair J.Lo wore with her H&M coat at her baby shower. Patricia has the fashion hoopla on J.Lo's Pucci look. The new mom and her husband Marc Anthony were spotted at the Bradway show, "In The Heights."



Tatyana Ali wore her favorite pair of Christian Louboutin Marilou braided heels yet again at the "Hotel California" premiere in NYC. Tyson Beckford also has a role in the film.

Teairra Mari made a black and white splash at the VH1 Rock Honors event. She wore a off shoulder striped Privee dress which is priced at $345 at INTERMIX. F-I-E-R-C-E!



Sam over at That Grape Juice found a few interesting quotes from Teairra on the whole Rocafella situation. Check out her thoughts on her "Make A Girl Feel" image: I was 17 and I had a parental advisory sticker on the album. I was totally against that. I was pre-instructed to do what I did. They wanted me to be that rebellious, young teenager. At the time I was going through a rebellious stage so I guess I could see it, but the curse words I didn’t totally understand it, like a cursing 17-year-old girl. I just did what I was told because I believed in those people.

Jennifer Hudson and Alicia Keys worked their celebrity platform at the The Black Ball UK for the Keep A Child Alive charity organization. Jennnifer wore a long Escada gown with jeweled sandals while Alicia rock a black Armani gown with a plunging neck. Jennifer just released the heavily edited cover artwork for her debut self-titled album while Alicia was seen on her "Superwoman" music video set with Jada Pinkett Smith.



Teairra Mari attended the Hale Bob's Summer Of Love Party at the Falcon with two of her close friends. On the music tip, Teairra has a new single out called, "Find My Way Back" which you can check out over at THEYBF.COM. She's definitely making her opinions known, huh? Vivica A. Fox and Tichina Arnold were also seen at the Hale Bob event.



Jurnee Smollett in a shift mini-dress was spotted at 'An Evening with Dave Chappelle for Kevin Powell for Congress' at Eugene in New York City. Anyone catch her appearance on "Grey's Anatomy"??!




Just yesterday a new track from Nelly's upcoming album, "Brass Knuckles" leaked onto the urban music blogs. Today Nelly has a new song that created some buzz for his album. Nelly worked with his girlfriend Ashanti and Akon on his new single, "Body On Me." According to Necole Bitchie, the three artists wrapped up the Benny Boom-directed video treatment at Red Rock Casino Resort in Vegas. (The photos were snapped by Erik Kabik by the way.) The song appears on Nelly's album AND on Ashanti's current record, "The Declaration."


I do love that beige Dolce & Gabbana corset belt dress Ashanti wore at the video shoot. "Body on Me" is a catchy tune - perfect for the summer. I like how Nelly and Ashanti are working togehter on the music tip too...

Over the weekend, Teairra Mari hosted a pre-BET Awards celebration in support of her Jean Addicts launch in Malibu. (Teairra actually served as the denim line's lead spokesmodel.)



Teairra on the music aspect of her career recently release a new single out called, "No, No", which you can check out here. The "Make Her Feel Good" songstress added a new video blog onto her myspace page.



Teairra equally deserved that chance at the spotlight don't you agree? With the right song material and promo, I think Teairra has a fair chance at music. After all, Teairra wasn't named Princess of the Roc just on her looks only, right?
