Shontelle collaborated with Akon on her new single, "Stuck With Each Other." The Diane Warren-written track was produced by Rodney Jerkins and it will join the Chris Brown/Rihanna duet on the "Confessions of A Shopaholic" soundtrack. Akon's new signed artist Tami Chynn has a new video out for her single, "Frozen." Honestly I have to give Akon credit for signing/bringing out Lady GaGa and Kardinal Offishall. Akon most definitely has his eye set on having different types of music on his label, Konvict Muzik. Tami (a Kingston, Jamaica songwriter) has yet to release her sophomore album, "Prima Donna." One or two comparisons can be made from the video but I think Tami held her own.



Nelly and his new sexy teeth dropped the latest video spot for his new single, "One & Only" off his album, "Brass Knuckles." (Hmmm, I wonder who inspired the song?!) Anyhow the video took me back to when Nelly did that duet with Jaheim from his "Sweat/Suit" album. Polow Da Don did his thing on the "One and Only" track. Check it out for yourself...

Akon collaborated with Young Jeezy and Lil' Wayne on his new single, "I'm So Paid." Look out for cameos from DJ Khaled and Kardinal Offishal in the video. Akon's upcoming album, "Freedom" drops on December 2nd. The collaboration was good and that warm sunny weather in the video is something the NY/NJ area needs right now!



Side note: New dad Weezy (re: Lil' Wayne) has a good woman supporting him along the way. Nivea was seen with him backstage at his Powerhouse concert gig and Necole Bitchie has the scoop.

Ashanti in a Notte by Marchesa pink and black lace dress attended the Gabrielle's Angel Foundation Gala in New York City last night. The R&B starlet reunited her "Body On Me" partner Akon at the event. Next up for Ashanti is a guest appearance on FOX 5's Good Day New York to promote her one-night only benefit performance "The Yellow Brick Road Not Taken" which celebrated the fifth anniversary of the Broadway musical, "Wicked" and an "Up Close & Personal" concert in Japan.

In Santa Monica last night the stars came out to honor Doug Morris at the Spirit of Life Award dinner. Rihanna and Jay-Z pose for photos and I can practically hear folks say "Ring The Alarm" but can we get over it??! The "Disturbia" singer (in a red strapless Monique Lhuiller dress) also has a thing for Kanye West that's if you believe the report given by Star magazine. The supposed love fest between Rihanna and Kanye went down backstage at T.I.'s myspace event. Time will only tell if there's any truth to this latest tidbit.


Also at the event was "DWTS" contestant/R&B singer Toni Braxton (in another Herve Leger creation), Nick Cannon, Mariah Carey (these two stay in love), Erykah Badu, Robin Thicke, Akon, Will.i.am, and birthday girl Keyshia Cole.

Tiffany Evans revamped her image for her upcoming album, "Ponytail Krush." No more short hairstyle for Tiffany this time around! "Ponytail Krush" would become Tiffany's sophomore disc after her self-titled debut which had the hits, "Promise Ring" featuring Ciara and "I'm Grown" featuring Bow Wow. The 16-year-old singer and actress also appears as the Pastry Footwear spokesmodel. As for what to expect for her new sound, Tiffany explained, "...I describe this album like turning a radio dial and no matter what type of music the station plays, you can find a Tiffany Evans record on the playlist." Kardinal Offishall wrapped up the video treatment for his single, "Numba 1 (Tide Is High)" with Keri Hilson and Akon. As reported earlier Kardinal decided to stick with Keri's verison and not the Rihanna one featured on his album. Keri also replaced Cassie on the Ryan Leslie single, "Addiction" for the radio version according to The Thomas Crown Chronicles blog.

Check out what Akon said to MTV News last September about working with Whitney: "I'm working on more uptempo records for her. She's been through a lot and has a dark history. So we've got to make the album brighter because she's come out of the cave now. "She wants a celebration. She needs to come back to the old Whitney we remember." This song isn't uptempo to me. -shrugs shoulders- Do you like this new song in question or not?

Nelly definitely delievered another club-ready summer song, huh? Ashanti wore loads of designer clothes in the video treatment. I think the song would be have been better with just Ashanti and Nelly on the track, don't you agree?
