INAUGURATION 2009 PERFORMANCES
The Neighborhood Inauguration Ball and the MTV special "Be The Change" brought out performances by Maroon 5, Kanye West, Mary J Blige, Mariah Carey, Stevie Wonder, and many more. According to various reports including this one, all celeb performers were stun.

Kanye West and his new longer hairstyle/Afro/Mullet?? performed a medley of his hits including "Love Lockdown."

Adam Levine held it down vocally for his group Maroon 5. (Wasn't Songs About Jane their best album?)

Maroon 5 - "This Love"

Alicia Keys jumped off her piano to perform "No One" with soul. She told MTV she was glad to be apart of history.

Mary J Blige got the crowd moving with her uplifting song, "Just Fine." ("No time for moping around...")

MJB - "Just Fine"

Nick Cannon introduced his wife Mariah Carey who performed her #1 hit "Hero" in a curve hugging (what else?) Dolce & Gabbana dress.
Mariah Carey-Cannon -"Hero"

Stevie Wonder's "Signed, Sealed, Delivered I'm Yours" medley was assisted by Adam Levine, Jamie Foxx, Faith Hill, Beyonce, Alicia Keys, Mariah Carey, Shakira, Sting, Mary J Blige, and Will.i.am. You can catch the President and First Lady dancing along. (Too cute!) LOL at Jamie Foxx: "You can tell he's a Black President by the way he was moving."

CANDIDS + JAZMINE'S 106 MOMENT
Jamie Foxx and Solange hosted a New Year's 2009 party at Karu Club in Miami Beach. Jamie also celebrated the release of his new album, "Intuition."

Chris Rock was spotted at last night’s NY Knicks game wth his grandmother. (And yes that's Leon in the back!)

Five-time Grammy nominee Jazmine Sullivan performed two of her singles, "Bust Your Windows" and "Need U Beed" off her solo debut, "Fearless" at BET's 106 & Park NYE TV special. She did a great job and kudos to June Ambrose for hooking Jazmine up with those fly YSL boots. I love "Lions, Tears & Bears" (her next single).

LIL KIM'S DISTURBIA REMAKE + HER JAMIE FOXX COLLABORATION
Lil' Kim recently did a live (and quite interesting) remake of Rihanna's song, "Disturbia" in Amsterdam. (Somewhere Rihanna will be amazed.) Kim flipped her hair in full blatant confidence all over the stage but do you think she pulled it off?

click here if you can't see the video.

Kim collaborated with Jamie Foxx on his new song, "Cover Girl" - a iTunes bonus track lifted from his new album, "Intuition." Loves it...

With these two latest developments from the Notorious K.I.M. and the upcoming Biggie film, will you be looking out for her in 2009?

JAMIE FOXX PROMOTES NEW ALBUM, "INTUITION" ON LENO & BIG BOY'S NEIGHBORHOOD
Jamie Foxx has been on TV and radio promoting his new album, "Intuition" out on December 16th. He kicked things off with a performance of his lead single, "Just Like Me" (without T.I. unfortunately) on "Tonight Show with Jay Leno" and a interview.

"Just Like Me" performance

"Interview with Jay Leno"

Jamie decided to add some humor during his radio interview with Big Boy's Neighborhood by targeting fellow actor-turned-singer Terrence Howard's music project. Jamie even went as far as imitating Terrence's voice and saying: "His album went plastic."

Click here if you can't see the video.

In better late than never news, check out Jamie's new leaked single called, "Digital Girl" featuring Kanye West and The Dream which I think has potential despites the heavy auto-tone use:

JAMIE FOXX FEAT. T.I - "JUST LIKE ME" VIDEO
Check out the video premiere for Jamie Foxx's new single, "Just Like Me" featuring T.I. Taraji P. Henson (of the upcoming film "The Curious Case of Benjamin Button") plays Jamie's on-screen girlfriend. The hilarious video was directed by Brett Ratner and it shows Taraji and Jamie competiting with one another from golf to comedy. LOL at that hot dog eating contest!

Click here if you can't see the video.

UPDATE: Taraji talked why she decided to show her comedic side while filming the video to Black Voices. Jamie Foxx's new album, "Intuition" drops on December 16th.

JAMIE FOXX IN THE STUDIO + NEW LENNY KRAVITZ VIDEO
T.I and Jamie Foxx were spotted working in the studio on their new single, "Just Like Me." Of course comedian Jamie made sure that the video had tons of jokes tossed around. The video premiere for Jamie's single debuts on MySpace Music this Wednesday. Jamie's upcoming studio album, "Intuition" drops on December 16th.

Thanks Melody.

Lenny Kravitz has finally release the video spot for his third single, "Dancin' Til' Dawn" off his eighth studio album, "It's Time For A Love Revolution." The video was shot and directed by French photographer Jean-Baptiste Mondino. Any video with Lenny shirtless is alright with me! (Thanks Quick!)

2008 AMERICAN MUSIC AWARDS
Without further delay, The 2008 American Music Awards was presented last night on ABC with a couple of "firsts" for the nominated artists. The rather-long music event was hosted by comedian Jimmy Kimmel.

Rihanna's "Rehab" performance was done in thigh-high Alexander McQueen boots which was a departure from the ruffle Zac Posen dress she arrived in. Justin Timberlake unforunately did not join Rihanna mid-way through. The Gucci Tattoo Hearts brand face picked up two American Music Awards (her first ever AMA's) for Soul/R&B Female Artist and Best Female Pop/Rock.

Kanye West (in his own clothing design Pastelle) gave a great live performance of his current single, "Heartless." Kanye's last album "Graduation" won one AMA for Favorite Rap/Hip Hop Album and he also picked up Favorite Rap/Hip Hop Male Artist. During his acceptance speech, Kanye declared that he wants to be like Elvis. 'It's our responsibility as musicians to keep pushing each other. We will be the new Beatles, the new [Jimi] Hendrix. I want to be Elvis.''

Beyonce's "Single Ladies (Put A Ring On It)" dance performance brought the crowd to its feet. Even Queen Latifah got up and did a little bit of "Uh Oh." Gotta love that Armani Privé satin black and white jacket Beyonce had on.

The Pussycat Dolls hit the stage to perform "When I Grow Up" and "Hate This Part." I liked that Melody Thornton had supporting vocals on the first performance set. Project Runway winner Christian Siriano dressed the Dolls for their red carpet appearance.

PCD in Christian Siriano designs

The Alicia Keys "Superwoman" remix with Queen Latifah was the event's last performance and one of the best. At first Latifah's mic wasn't working but when did it, I was blow away. Latifah's rapping again?! Then out nowhere classical vocalist Kathleen Battle joined the performance set. Hands down, hot! Alicia's third solo studio effort, "As I Am" won favorite pop/rock album.

Nick Cannon was such a gentleman as he helped his wife Mariah Carey down a flight of stairs before her "I Stay In Love" performance. Mariah (in Dolce & Gabbana) picked up top honors (honorary award for Favorite Female Artist) at the award ceremony for her record-breaking music career.

Christina Aguilera opened the show with a medley of her hits which included "Genie In A Bottle", "Dirrty", "Ain't No Other Man", "Fighter", "Keeps Gettin' Better" and "Beautiful".

Xtina at the 2008 AMAs

Leona Lewis (in Jenny Packham) and Pink (in Vivienne Westwood) both hit the stage to perform their hit singles. Pink performed twice and she did a duet with Sarah McLachlan. Leona performed her current single "Better in Time."

Natasha Bedingfield and Ne-Yo both performed a medley of their hits. Tocarra was on the scene in a '50s-inspired polka-dot dress. Jordin Sparks (in Dolce & Gabbana) presented with Enrique Igelesias. Justin Timberlake paid tribute to Annie Lennox.

EVENT HOOPLA + JAMIE FOXX'S "INTUITION" ALBUM COVER
VS model Selita Ebanks and Kat De Luna were seen in color coordinated outfits at the Benefit Shine On Sierra Leone event. On the music tip, Kat has been in the studio with Mark Ronson -the man behind my favorite Amy Winehouse song "Valerie."

On Selita's feet are the popular Christian Louboutin "En Passant" pumps that Tamara Mowry, Rihanna, Bar Refaeli and Beyonce previously wore.

Rihanna (the new Gucci Tattoo Hearts Collection brand face) ran through her rehearsals for this Sunday's American Music Awards which airs on ABC. Rumor has it that she'll perform "Rehab." Kanye West told KROQ that he thinks Rihanna is "...arguably the biggest artist in the world right now." Case in point, Rihanna has release many singles off her breakthrough disc, "Good Girl Gone Bad."

Solange and her favorite cobalt Christian Louboutin pumps were spotted at the SoHo Relaunch of boutique MANGO. (You gotta like the fact that Solange rocks her favorite style pieces.)

A very pregnant M.I.A and her husband-to-be Benjamin Brewer attended the "GQ Men of The Year" party at the Chateau Marmont Hotel in Los Angeles. M.I.A talked about her engagement to "Spin" magazine: "When he asked me out on a date, I thought, 'I don't know,'" she continues about Brewer, with whom she's also expecting a child. "It's like crossing over to the other side. I've always had that fuck-the-system mentality, and his dad is so 'the System.' But then, they're the most liberal family -- they bootlegged alcohol, for God's sake. They're rich because they threw big, illegal parties, so I don't mind." [READ MORE...]

NEW MUSIC FROM JAMIE FOXX: "JUST LIKE ME" FEAT. T.I.
Jamie Foxx collaborated with T.I. once again on his new song called "Just Like Me." The new single can be also heard on Jamie's official site. I like this song and I also enjoy Jamie's last album, "Unpredictable." The Tricky Stewart and The Dream-produced single would serve as the lead track off Jamie's upcoming album, "Man’s Intuition" due out on December 16th according to DJ Booth.
