A sneak preview of "Obsessed" the new film starring Idris Elba, Beyonce Knowles, and Ali Larter was featured on Entertainment Tonight. Beyonce and her father/manager Mathew Knowles served as the film's executive producers. According to Black Voices Blog, In "Obsessed," Elba will play an asset manager who has a knockout wife (Knowles) and thriving career until a temp office worker (Larter) begins stalking him.The trailer looks promising and the film has its release date set to April 2009.



Check out the official trailer to Tyler Perry's Madea Goes to Jail due out January 2009. (Yes indeed Madea's back!) The film stars Tyler Perry (duh!), Keisha Knight-Pulliam, and Derek Luke. Madea comes to the rescue of imprisoned prostitute Candy (Pulliam) and Luke plays Candy's attorney. (Read more over at The Movie Blog.) Keisha-Knight Pulliam and Ludacris attended the screening of "Max Payne" in Atlanta. The twosome was also spotted at Ludacris' launch for his retail flagship store, New Era Atlanta. I love that Gucci bag and that new engagement ring Rudy Keisha has on. Next up for Keisha is the upcoming Tyler Perry film, "Madea Goes To Jail."

Gossip Girl actress Nicole Fiscella and UK R&B singer Leona Lewis were spotted in the same body-hugging Herve Leger double strap bandage dress but which lady had the look on lock?

Dawn Richard of Danity Kane talked with "Essence" magazine about D. Woods and Aubrey O'Day leaving the group. Dawn explained to Essence that she never intended to go solo because the group is her first priority. She also said that the group will move on without D. Woods and Aubrey attached even though she'll prefer it if they stayed.

On the friendship with the other members: "The reality is that some days we get along and other days we don’t, but it has never made me feel differently about the girls or the group. I always wanted to rock with those four girls. I’m about business and how do we keep the fans happy and how do we make our business work better. I’m pro-Danity Kane."

On going solo: “Everyone should ask Puff if that’s what he has in line for me. If he does, then I’m honored and I will work hard as I’ve always done. What I know for certain is that he would never break up Danity Kane. I’ve always been on that same train, too. At the end of the day, I’m going to rock with the first priority, which is Danity Kane. Who knows what can happen, because Puff changes his mind every five seconds. I’m going to work hard. I’m going to be the same person I was in the beginning. What’s honest and true is that I respect people. I respect and love the group. I wish it could still be five of us. I didn’t make Aubrey leave. I didn’t make D. Woods not show up. When Tyler Perry announced that his 2006 play "Madea Goes To Jail" would be the next to hop onto his successful box office productions, I was thoroughly thrilled. The play was a personal favorite with Christian Keyes in the starring role so I hope the movie version doesn't disappoint.


The film has its theatrical release in early 2009 with Keisha Knight-Pulliam and Derek Luke headlining the cast. Anyone else interested to check out this new Tyler Perry film project?

Derek Blanks posted up these new photos of actor Lance Gross onto his myspace page. New photos of the upcoming actor of "Tyler Perry's House of Payne" TBS sitcom fame surfaced online last week. Eva Pigford Marcille (as in Lance's girl) - hats off to you!



Check out this new Dereon AD featuring Beyonce. By the looks of it Beyonce still has that high-fashion swagger on. Her new album drops this Fall and everyone (who admires her dedication) including Entertainment Weekly cannot wait to hear new material from Mrs. Carter.




Also at Atlanta's "For Sisters Only " event was Ashanti who performed a series of her old and new songs like "Foolish", "The Way That I Love You" and much more. Monica, Ludacris, T.I, Tiny, Young Joc, Jazmine Sullivan, and Ludacris were also spotted at FSO. Ashanti will join her boyfriend Nelly to sing "Body On Me" this Thursday on "Jimmy Kimmel Live." Tomorrow the pair will appear on "Tonight Show with Jay Leno" and on Wednesday they'll set to appear on "Ellen." (Thanks John!)



The Pussycat Dolls offered a brief glimpse via PopEater of their music video, "Whatcha Think About That" featuring Missy Elliott. (Didn't Danity Kane feature Missy on their second single but that's just my opinion. Regardless of that small tidbit, I personally enjoy PCD's first disc especially their duet with Avant.) Usher looked sharp in a grey suit when he held a launch party for his "uCast Podcast Series" at Tiffany & Co in Atlanta this past Friday. Celebrity guests included Wesley Jonathan and Keisha Knight-Pulliam.



On the fashion tip, his wife Tameka Foster wore a black Azzedine Alaïa belt - the same stylish piece Mary-Kate Olsen wore with her blue silk chiffon Stella McCartney dress on the July 2008 magazine cover of "Elle". According to THE LOOK, Naomi Campbell, Kate Moss, and Ashley Olsen are fans of this '80's-inspired wide belt.

No baby Cinco in sight though.

Random tidbits: Musiq let his shirt show his political stance via a tee-shirt featuring Barack Obama's slogan, "Yes We Can." Sanaa came along with her boyfriend Adewale Ogunleye . Estelle was seen with Alegbra, Lyfe Jennings, and Mathew Knowles. Tichina, Sanaa, Chrisette, and Lynn Whitfield also wore LBD's (little black dresses) to the event. Lyfe, Bryan Michael Cox, Algebra and Estelle apparently filmed a segment for VH1 Soul's "Black Girls Rule."

Keisha Knight Pulliam sat down with "PEOPLE" magazine to discuss internet rumors, dating and her Cosby kiddie-persona.

Keisha on internet rumors:

They were trying to say Rudy is a cokehead! The only time it hurts is when people I feel should know better question me. Like, 'You know me! Have you ever seen some strange white powder in my nose?'"

Keisha on dating:

I'm single, and I hate dating. But I'm not gonna rush. I kinda wanna wait until I find that One.

Keisha on getting older:

As you approach 30, it's this feeling of, 'I'm like for real an adult.' I'm like, 'The time is now to do all the things I really want to do.'"

Keisha on her Cosby character, Rudy Huxtable:

People feel like I'm their sister, their best friend, their daughter.

Keisha also told the entertainment news publication that she has plans to develop a cooking show as well as opening her own acting studio in Atlanta.

The 29-year-old Spelman College graduate can be seen next in the upcoming season of the TBS sitcom, "Tyler Perry's House of Payne".

Best friends duo LaLa Vasquez and Ciara were spotted court side with luxe Louis Vuitton handbags at the Atlanta Hawks vs Denver Nuggets game in Atlanta last night.

LaLa was in Ciara's "Can't Leave 'Em Alone" music video.

Also spotted at the basketball game were Keshia Knight Pulliam and Jermaine Dupri.
