A heavily photo edited Aubrey O'Day (formerly of Danity Kane) can be seen on the March 2009 cover edition of Playboy magazine. The accompanying headline reads as follows: "Aubrey O'Day Breaks Free of Danity Kane (And Her Clothes)." The magazine with a confident Aubrey on its cover hits newsstands February 13th. Hats off to Aubrey for taking IT off! Tasteful or desperate?

Dawn Richard confirmed the Danity Kane split recently to MTV News. Aubrey O'Day went on to do a Playboy editorial while D. Woods has a girl group. Shannon Bex and Aundrea Fimbres are the only two remaining members. However, Shannon would NOT be seen in the upcoming season of "Making The Band." Best luck to Dawn!

As of right now, [Danity Kane doesn't exist]," Dawn Richard told MTV News on Wednesday (January 28). "It's devastating for me."

"You'll see me and Drea [Aundrea Fimbres] try and pick up the pieces on our own [on this season's show] — pieces that we didn't even make," she continued. "We didn't even break it and we're trying to sweep it up ourselves. Puff invited all the girls to come back on this season and they chose not to. Only two of us showed up. That's fine if that's the choice.[MTV NEWS]

Director Bill Condon best known for Dreamgirls opened up about the upcoming Aaliyah biopic. Condon has said to expect the film to mirror the succes of Selena - (Jennifer Lopez's claim to fame). Canadian-singer Keshia Chante has since release a statement confirming that she'll play Aaliyah.

"Aaliyah inspired me and an entire generation," Keshia Chante said in a statement. "She was stunning, effortless and was capable of so many things. This is a hard undertaking, I have big shoes to fill but I am committed, determined and will train to the very end to master this role. I want Aaliyah's fans and admirers to be proud of this film and feel like it was the best interpretation possible of our babygirl. I refuse to disappoint." [BET News]

Well said, Keshia! A Roc-a-Fella music producer Choke No Joke (seriously??) has come out with a blind item about the rift behind Jay-Z and Dame Dash.

"Both Jay and Dame was involved with a certain R&B singer, who I'm not gonna say her name out of respect 'cause she ain't around to defend herself, but I believe that was a part of the initial friction. I was seeing Jay with her back around 2000, then Dame was with her after. All you have to do is look at the movie they did, Death of a Dynasty. In the movie they were fighting over a model. The drama left behind in the previous season of "Making The Band" continues as Diddy acknowledge his latest upsetting tidbit. Apparently no one can get out of their Bad Boy recording contract.



The last season had D. Woods and Aubrey O'Day kicked out of Danity Kane while Day 26 and Donnie experience moderate success. Missing in action was Shannon Rex. (Hmm...) The new season of Making The Band 4kicks off on February 12th on MTV.

While on vacation in St. Barts, Beyonce Knowles-Carter slipped into this multi-color Catherine Malandrino jeweled tank dress and sky-high YSL sandals.

Dawn Richard wore the same dress with bronze Givenchy open-toe pumps at ANTM Obsessed Launch party in New York City.

Although this comparison may not seem fair because Beyonce's on vacation while Dawn's camera ready, I think they both easily pulled off this look.

Danity Kane vocalist Dawn Richard and Pharrell's protege Teyana Taylor attended the Toys for Tots event hosted by The Fashion Reporter, Land Rover Manhattan, and Bloomingdales Saturday night. (The event celebrated Fashion Reporter's third anniversary and it was also hosted by Dawn.)



Dawn arrived in a purple strapless Nicole Miller jersey dress and metallic Givenchy Open Toe d'Orsay heels. If Dawn's outfit looks familar, that's because Alicia Keys wore the same dress with Jimmy Choo snake patchwork sandals to the TIFF premiere of "Secret Life of Bees." Jay-Z collaborated with Santogold on a new track/street anthem called "Brooklyn (We Go Hard)" which is said to be on the upcoming Biggie biopic "Notorious" soundtrack. Danity Kane vocalist Dawn Richard has a new single out with her boyfriend Que Mosley (from Day 26) called "Broken Promises." I like the new track a lot and in case the video gets taken down you can listen to it on this imeem page. No word on whether this single may appeared on her rumored and much talked about solo album. The Victoria's Secret Fashion Show kicked off in Miami Beach with a special performance by Usher. In attendance were Seal, Heidi Klum, The Kardashian Sisters, Aubrey O'Day, Gabrielle Union, Mario, and Lenny Kravitz. CBS will air the show on December 3rd.



On Gabrielle's feet are Giuseppe Zanotti sandals - the very pair Taraji P. Henson wore to the "Family That Preys" premiere.



Seal and Heidi had eyes only for another. Did you know that these two plan on getting hitch for the fourth time? On her feet are Louis Vuitton peep-toes.



The Kardashian sisters rock colorful Mara Hoffman designs. You gotta love that red quilted Chanel clutch Kourtney has. Kim rock her beloved Chanel quilted bag in black.

Out of the three Ashanti was the first to rock this MLH peacock sequin dress in black. The R&B diva was spotted at the Harlem premiere of the latest Indiana Jones film in gold Gucci Sevigny heels.

Aubrey O'Day, former member of Danity Kane, was the next to rock this look in gray as she did at the NY premiere of "Righteous Kill."

Dawn Richard paired her kimono-like dress for Danity Kane's first public appearance as a trio at JET nightclub in Las Vegas. On her feet are Dior cut-out wedge heels.

Danity Kane performed as a trio down for the first time (since they publicily split up) at JET nightclub in Las Vegas. The remaining members of Danity Kane are Dawn Richard (who has a solo deal in the works), Shannon Bex (who may leave the group) and Aundrea Fimbres. No doubt that this latest development would be talked about during the next season of Making The Band.

Former Danity Kane member Aubrey O'Day attended the U.S Green Building Council's Annual Fall Gala in New York City. Aubrey polished her look in this foil print bandage dress by Herve Leger just like the one Alicia Keys had on her "Complex" magazine cover. Anyhow, Aubrey has since offered her opinions on the Danity Kane drama.



Pharrell and Ciara pose for a photo at the 2008 BET Hip-Hop Awards in Atlanta, Georgia. Ciara also took photos with Keri Hilson, Big Boi, her "Stepped On My J'z" buddy Nelly, and LL Cool J. On the music tip, Ciara recorded a duet with Enrique Igelesias called "Takin' Back My Love" for his upcoming "Greatest Hits" album.
