Beyonce and her fishnet stockings struck a fierce pose for the December/January 2009 cover edition of Giant magazine. Beyonce talked about how her husband Jay-Z's stage persona differs from her:

Jay is so cool. He can just stand on stage completely still, and the audience will go nuts,” says Beyonce Knowles. “Me? I have to work it! I’m shaking it and throwing it and rolling around on the floor.” [source]

Gabrielle Union worked it out in a black and gold Tadashi Shoji gown at the NY premiere of her new film, "Cadillac Records." Gabrielle also decided to go back to TV (remember her TV show, "Night Stalker"??!) She just signed up to developed a new series for NBC according to TV Guide.

Also at the NY premiere were Columbus too fine Short, Mos Def and Ne-Yo. Rumor has it that Ne-Yo has been asked to paid tribute to Barbra Streisand at this year's Kennedy Center Honors gala.

Keyshia Cole with a funky darker hairstyle did a fantastic photoshoot for "Us Weekly" magazine which Only Keyshia reported on. Next up for Keyshia is her December 16th album release date for "A Different Me" and her "I Am Music" tour dates with Lil' Wayne, Keri Hilson, T-Pain, and Gym Class Heroes.

BEYONCE COVERS "IN STYLE" + GRABS EARTHA KITT FILM ROLE
Dressed in Gucci, Beyonce appeared on the November 2008 cover edition of "In Style" magazine. The fashion publication has since added a behind the scenes video taken during the photo shoot which you can see here.

Beyonce covers IN Style magazine

For the interview, Beyonce talked about how she got ready for her Etta James portrayal in the upcoming film, "Cadillac Records" as well as her personal style picks. Check out a few quotes from the interview.

spotted at Gossip Rocks via Beyonce World.

On Style Icons: “Charlize Theron is always beautiful and feminine. I love her couture looks and dramatic silhouette. Halle Berry is elegant and sophisticated. I love that in the seventies Cher and Diana Ross looked like superstars and never played it safe. When they were onstage, they gave you drama and I love drama.”

On her latest look: “I was going to do the shorter hair (for her new album) that I had when I performed with Tina Turner at the Grammys earlier this year, which I loved. But I’ve decided to wear my hair straight instead. I’ve had so many different hairstyles, and I don’t want this project to be about my hair. With my makeup, I was doing a lot of liquid liner before. Now I’m into a gold smoky eye and natural-tone lip.”

On her fashion designer faves: “Alexander McQueen and Jean Paul Gaultier are two designers I love right now. Their clothes are feminine, sexy and modern. I just went to the Giuseppe Zanotti showroom, and he had the most spectacular shoes. It was like being in a candy store. I was obsessed with every shoe! Right now, I love anything with a high platform.”

In related news, Beyonce just picked up another film role but this time as the legendary actress Earta Kitt -the infamous first black Catwoman. There's already a petition against Beyonce landing this biopic role. Correct me if I'm wrong but wasn't Janet Jackson suppose to portray Eartha??? Anyhow check out a few movie stills from "Cadillac Records" which co-stars Adrien Brody, Gabrielle Union, Jeffrey Wright, and Mos Def. The 1950s musical film opens on December 5th.

ROUND THE WAY

Robin Thicke opens to Giant about his high school years, racism, his wife Paula Patton, being compared to Justin Timberlake, and much more.

On the difference between him and JT:

“I would say that Justin’s been a star since he was 16 and it took me 14 years to become a star. That’s the big difference. I’m the guy who had to keep trying. I’m the guy who took four record deals and never hit. I’m the guy who has actually has been through all the pain and the struggle and the heartache. And when I sing now, I sing with pain and heartache and struggle in my voice.”

On the Hollywood effect on his marriage to Paula Patton:

“She was having sex scenes with the guy who won Album of the Year (Andre 3000), and I pretty much had no record deal. She didn’t come home during the three months of filming (Idlewild) because she was so focused. I started believing she didn’t need me anymore, and when she came home, I started projecting that onto her and pushing her away. That’s what ‘Complicated’ (a song from his album) is about – me saying, ‘I wish I could stop thinking I’m not good enough because,
otherwise, I won’t be able to get this girl back.”

Amerie's currently featured in the July issue of the magazine FHM:

And she's flaunting her 2 million dollar legs.

Kelly Ro is in the July/August edition of Giant magazine with Robin Thicke on the cover. Below is a two page spread on Ms. Kelly:

"Giant" rated "Ms. Kelly" with 3/5 stars...not bad. The issue of GIANT hits newsstands June 5th. [props to Jemel46 for the scans!]

Click here to see Kelly Ro perform "Like This" at radio station 97.9 The Beat in Dallas, Texas
And she address the fall Michelle Williams took on "106 & Park." Click
here to listen to what Kelly Ro had to say. And finally she performed "Dilemma" which you can download/listen to here.

Mos Def has ditched his music career for the time being for the movies. Check him out with Jack Black spoofing Ghostbusters here in this still:

Plot:

A man (Black) whose brain becomes magnetized unintentionally destroys every tape in his friend's video store. In order to satisfy the store's most loyal renter, an aging woman with signs of dementia, the two men set out to remake the lost films, which include Back to the Future, The Lion King, and Robocop.

Former NFL quarterback Rodney Peete, 41, and actress Holly Robinson Peete, 42, raise four children -- twins Rodney Jackson 'RJ' and Ryan, 9 1/2, Robinson, 4 1/2, and Roman, 2 -- but their toughest job as parents has been confronting RJ's autism. The couple tell their story in this week's issue of People.

[source]
Holly on RJ:
When he started talking, 'cow' was his first word. 'Cow, cow,' he would say, pointing his fat fingers at the picture. He and his sister were hitting all their developmental milestones on time. He was sweet, had a great disposition and was always giving kisses and saying his few words. I will never forget that because one day he stopped. He went from saying, 'cow, cow' to nothing. Silence. Indifference. That change happened when he was about 2 1/2, very soon after he had received his inoculations for measles, mumps, and rubella. I noticed he
ceased making eye contact and responding to his name without loud repetitive
shouts. 'RJ, RJ, RJ!' we would scream helplessly.

Overheard Hoopla:
1. Amerie's a computer geek. "I am addicted to The Sims. I live out a virtual life online. I think it's seriously cool, but I guess it's kind of dorky. "I've got Kelly Rowland into it too, and now we hook up in the game. Beyonce tried to join us, but she wasn't into it. "Also I love to read science magazines. It's not very R+B I know."
