Across the pond in Rome, Revlon spokesmodel Eva Mendes rock a yellow floor-length gown at the launch of Campari 2008 calendar. Latin songstress Shakira performed in Vegas at the screening of "Love in the Time of Cholera".

BEYONCE & JAY-Z IN VEGAS

Beyonce Knowles and Shawn "Jay-Z" Carter took some time off from their busy schedule promoting their clothing lines, Dereon and Rocawear, respectively down in Las Vegas to catch the United States face Uruguay during the FIBA Americas regional qualifying basketball tournament.

The photo genetic pair kicked back as the tournament was the deciding factor for the 2008 Beijing Olympics, in Las Vegas, Nevada.

Simply put, "the hottest chick in the game" keeps it laid back with the richest man in hip-hop.

Jay-Z and Rihanna's "Umbrella" has knocked off Beyonce and Shakira's Beautiful Liar off the top of the charts.

RIHANNA is the new queen of Europe after knocking BEYONCE KNOWLES and SHAKIRA off the top of the continent's singles charts with her JAY-Z collaboration UMBRELLA. Rihanna jumped four places to claim this week's number one, while Knowles and Shakira's Beautiful Liar, which had spent five weeks in pole position, falls to second place.

MID-WEEKDAY HOOPLA

Sports mavens Michael Jordan and Tiger Woods attended a golf charity event together:

that cigar, that swagger is unbeatable. That's the way you do your thing when you retire from the game. I would just who will be the one to become Michael Jordan's girl.

The handsome pair were at Pro-Am event during the Wachovia Championship at the Quail Hollow Country Club in Charlotte, North Carolina.

Even Bob Johnson, aka the man behind BET, came through.

Which is worse--these dolls or the wax replica of Justin Timberlake?

The new Justin Timberlake wax figure was unveiled at Madame Tussauds in central London last Thursday. JT is currently on tour now:

He kicked off the second-leg of concert over to sell out crowd in Belfast, Northern Ireland. Rumor has it that is his next single, "Til the End of Time" which is like a breezy Maxwell-meets-Jodeci song. Word is that HBO is taping a concert special for JT's shows. Via WorldofJustin.com: "HBO will produce and air a Justin Timberlake show -- its first concert in four years -- and release the concert on DVD at a later date.
Show will be taped at Madison Square Garden on Aug. 16 and air Sept. 3. Concert is part of the former 'N Sync member's "FutureSex/LoveShow" tour, but the particular date was added at the behest of the pay net. HBO will tape a second show as backup."
