With the 2008 BET Awards scheduled live for tomorrow, another star-studded celebration went down. This time the Celebrity Billiards bash included Angie Stone, two ANTM alums (Tocarra and Eva Marcille), a great "ATL" re-union (Lauren London, Jackie Long, Malika and Khadijah Haqq), Dwayne Wade, Keith Robinson, PCD's Melody Thornton, Lance Gross, Tichina Arnold and Tia Mowry. (-Sigh- That sentence took too long to complete, lol!)




You gotta love Eva's Gucci Indy bag and that handsome boyfriend of hers...




Angie Stone recently talked about being dark-skinned in the entertainment business:

“Well, you know it goes back to the very beginning. If you were light skinned you were in, if you were dark skinned you were out. It very well works that way in the industry. You see very [few] dark skinned people on top of the game. Most of the superstars are very fair or mullatto people. You can check your stats. It works that way in the film world too. I have lost almost every single opportunity to star in a film to Macy Gray or Jill Scott because they’re light and I’m dark. I’ve been told so many times that it’s a certain look that they’re looking for. So you can’t even use weight anymore. You can’t use age because everybody’s over 35 that’s running around doing it. It comes down to what is more appealing. I’m only good for the pro political stuff that will afford all of my people from the hood to vote for the right president - or to support whatever because I’m more on their level, so to speak. On Lauren London's feet were a pair of Report signature masonic t-strap platforms - the same $250.00 shoes Meagan Good and a Pussycat Doll member Ashley Roberts wore earlier.



Ashley Roberts first wore these studded shoes to a PCD-hosted event at PURE nightclub while Meagan Good had them on at the Spike Spike TV's 2nd Annual 'Guys Choice' Awards.

Michelle Williams and her new all-black dye hairstyle visited MTV's "TRL" yesterday afternoon to release the premiere her "We Break The Dawn" video. Michelle as she blogged on her Myspace page, said the video wouldn't appear on BET because the video was deem 'less urban.' BET has Michelle on board as their host for the 2008 BET Awards nominees special AND the host of an upcoming "BET Now" episode.




Soon after her performance at the 2008 MuchMusic Awards, Rihanna had dinner at her favorite restaurant Da Silvano in New York City's Greenwich Village last night. The last time Rihanna was seen at her favorite eatery she sported a sleekier black 'do but this time around Rihanna's hair was a noticeable brunette. Rihanna also has a movie role in the upcoming film, "Mama Black Widow".




Kerry Washington, Amerie, Tichina Arnold and Nicey Nash were some of the fashion forward women who attended Nanette Lepore's Fashion Votes event at the designer's Los Angeles boutique.

Vanessa Williams and her youngest daughter Sasha was seen at LAX this past Tuesday. Vanessa had daughter Sasha with ex-husband Rick Fox, who made a guest spot on her successful ABC show, "Ugly Betty". Former NY Giants Michael Strahan and Nicole Murphy (Eddie Murphy's ex-wife) had eyes for one another as they attended the 7th Annual Samsung Four Seasons of Hope Gala at New York's Ciprani. You have to love those Lorraine Schwartz hoop earrings Nicole has on.

Nicole Richie and boyfriend Joel Madden were accompanied by Mischa Barton and Michelle Kwan seen at "A Time For Heroes" Celebrity Carnival. Nicole, Michelle and Mischa (in Christian Louboutin mad mary janes) all wore strapless summer-ready dresses.


Also at the event were The Cheetah Girls, "The Hills" females, Tichina Arnold, and Blair Underwood. (Blair brought along his family while Tichina had her daughter Alijah up on her shoulders.)



Estelle looked fabulous at the 2008 Glamour Women of the Year Awards and at the Royal Academy of Arts Summer Exhibition preview party. The "No Substitute Love" singer artist also share the same fondness for bright orange pumps as Rihanna, Dawn Richard, and Kerry Washington.



A bikini-clad Mariah Carey has begun filming the video treatment for her new single, "I'll Be Loving You A Long Time" in Hawaii according to popular fansite, MARIAHDAILY.COM. I guess those reports (re: unconfirmed rumors) of Mariah's husband Nick Cannon directing "Love Story" as the next video off "E=MC2" are not true...

Since the savvy businesswomen (Angela and Vanessa) has a successful show on MTV called "Run's House", this event may or may not appear on the upcoming season.
