The Dream confirmed that he's working on Mariah's new album during his interview on 102.7 KIIS FM's HD2 New Music Show with DJ Skee. He called the album, MC 3 and said that they'll working on extending her greatest hits appeal. (Blinks eyes at the working title! It's time to get over the Emanicipation of Mimi and leave it as her one of her best music projects. Don't you agree??) The Dream also talked about writing songs in the music business.

The 14th Annual VH1 Critics' Choice Award was held on Thursday January 8th with Taraji P Henson, Angela Bassett, Brad Pitt, Angelina Jolie, Freida Pinto (go rent Slumdog Millionaire), Eva Longoria Parker, Ludacris, and Common in attendance. Taraji was my best dressed pick of the night.



Slumdog Millionaire won Best Picture. Anne Hathaway (Bride Wars) and Sean Penn (Milk)picked up Best Actor/Best Actress awards. Tune into VH1 (or HERE) to check out all the winners.

Check out the official extended trailer for "Notorious" which is based upon Biggie's (Christopher Wallace) life. The film due out on January 16th stars Derek Luke, Naturi Naughton, Angela Bassett, and newcomer Jamal Woolward. As her album sales, Jennifer has sold 217,720 units which puts her eponymous debut album on the no. 2 position for the Billboard 200 charts. This accomplishment made Jennifer to have the biggest first week for a debut R&B female since Fantasia’s November 2004 debut album Free Yourself.

While approving the final cut for the Love Lockdown vid, I marvel at the fact that it was written less than 3 weeks ago. I’m very excited about the everything… I guarantee this will be 50’s favorite album of mine. This will be gangster’s album of the year.

Angela Bassett was reward with the 2,358th star on Hollywood Walk of Fame. Right by her side were her twins (son Slater Josiah and daughter Bronwyn Golden), her husband Courtney Vance, Forest Whitaker, Laurence Fishburne, Eva Marcille, and her "Meet The Browns" co-stars Rick Fox and Lance Gross.

The talented actress cried as she accepted her speech:

“Do you ever have one of those days? I woke up and the sun wasn’t really shining but then it burst through the clouds and it was glorious. Hallelujah!” Bassett, 49, exclaimed to the crowd at the ceremony for the 2,358th star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame.

Tyler Perry's "Meet the Browns" had its Hollywood premiere last night. Tyler's latest film project has the all-star cast of Angela Bassett, Rick Fox, Lance Gross, Jenifer Lewis, and many others.

The premiere bought out Jill Marie Jones, Eva Marcille, both Vanessa Williams, Kenya Moore, Tasha Smith, Sidra Smith, Taraji P. Henson, Courtney B. Vance, and Sheryl Lee Ralph.

The new Tyler Perry film's soundtrack has new music from Kelly Rowland, Musiq Soulchild, Brandy, Debroah Cox, and Jill Scott. The soundtrack will be in stores March 18th.
