CHILLI AND JPAT: STILL COOL

Usher's mother Jonetta Patton didn't attend her son's wedding but she's leaning on the support of Rozanda "Chilli" Thomas according to the Sept. 24th edition of "In Touch Weekly."

Earlier I posted up an article about Chilli and Tamkea Foster arguing at Usher's ATL residence and now this little tidbit surfaced. The fact that Usher mentioned Chilli and their engagement on the radio while promoting his new fragrance is all kinds of funky.

One thing is for certain Usher and Chilli will still talk about one another via press interviews thanks in part to his last gold-selling record, "Confessions" which was loosely based on their relationship.

Chilli has since taken the higher road with her new relationship with CNN news anchor T.J Holmes but Usher is getting 'mad' over folks still linkng his name to Chilli?! Things that make me go hmmm...

USHER AT LENOX MALL

Yesterday at ATL Lenox Mall, Usher officially launch his male and female self-titled fragrance:

Usher HE, Usher SHE is an fragrance he worked with Elizabeth Arden.

Visit USHERFOREVER to listen to his recent radio interviews where he talks about his 'son', his ex-girlfriend Rozanda "Chilli " Thomas and that infamous "Confessions" ring. He also talks briefly about his upcoming album release which he said he's working with JD, JLACK, Johnta Austin, and other notable R&B producers. Unfortunately he did NOT mention an album release date.

USHER & CHILLI'S LOVE AFFAIR INSPIRED NOVEL, DEDICATION

Real Gossip posted up an interesting tidbit about a new novel called, Dedication, written by the Nanny Diaries writers, Nicola Kraus and Emma MCLaughlin.

Supposedly the writers were caught up in the hoopla surrounding Usher and Chilli's love affair so much that the relationship inspired the pair to write a book based off it.

Kraus and MCLaughlin's new book follows the fortunes of a woman who confronts her high school sweetheart after he used their relationship as inspiration for a pop music career. MCLaughlin tells internet gossip columnist Marc Malkin, "That album was ubiquitous. You could not go anywhere without it pumping out of every car, every restaurant. We couldn't stop thinking about it.
"We were like, 'How is Chilli not killing herself right now?'"

Going back to Usher and Chilli, do you see the same kind of love and admiration when Usher now with his new wife, Tameka Foster?

Word is that Usher's new album, The Untold Story, doesn't drop until mid-2008. He'll perform at this year's Fashion Rocks live in New York City.

THE HOOPLA ON USHER & TAMEKA'S WEDDING WEEKEND

Gossip pages are swarming with reports of Usher marrying his wife to be, Tameka Foster, this weekend at L.A Reid's house in the Hamptons. Considering that Usher's album doesn't come out until November (which is also the same time as the birth of his first child and her fourth), wouldn't Usher want to get marry around the album release date to tie into the title of his album, "The Untold Story?" Publicity around the album release is ideal. Prior to his engagement to Tameka, all Usher had to go on publicly wise is the launch of his NYC wine bar and fragrance line. There's talks of Robin Thicke, a friend of Usher, performing at the wedding:
And Robin Thicke’s Friday night opening of Beyonce’s summer tour has sparked speculation that the blue-eyed soul crooner with be singing at the wedding. Robin sang the track ‘Angels’ and dedicated it to a couple who will soon be married before alluding that he may sing the track at their upcoming wedding. [source]

In spite of a recent run down with Chilli at Jonetta Patton's (Usher's mother) house, the wedding weekend in the Hamptons may get pushed back due to an explosive revelation by Tameka's sister Valencia Foster:
"Poor Usher has no idea who he’s marrying," Temeka’s half sister Valencia Foster told The ENQUIRER. "He’s a wonderful guy- but Tameka is giving him a big-time snow job." Valencia, 49, explained that Usher led a prayer before dinner, then turned to her and said: "’You know all the family secrets- tell me about them.’ Before I could say a word, Tameka kicked me so hard under the table she almost put a hole in my leg," Valencia said. "Then she pulled me aside and whispered: ‘Don’t tell him anything.’" [via Sandra Rose]
If this wedding doesn't go down this weekend, you already know it's going to be around the time of his album release. Valencia is trying to be just as famous before Tameka and Usher makes it official. Damn...
not even Usher's brother JLACK is selling him out like that. Things that make me go hmmm...

CHILLI & TAMEKA ARE COOL?

Usher's ex and current chick met face to face in all places his mother's house in Georgia. Remember Tameka has gone on record to say she and Chilli have NEVER hung out!

Chilli and Tameka supposedly had a run-in together. Word is Chilli's cool with Usher's mother, Jonetta Patton. "Usher's ex-girlfriend, TLC singer Rozanda "Chilli" Thomas, has moved on and is now dating CNN anchor T.J Holmes-but that didn't stop her from having a run-in with the singer's fiancee, Tameka Foster. "Chilli is still friends with Usher's mom, Jonetta, and recently stopped by her home to visit," says an insider. Tameka dropped in while she was there and hit the roof. "She screamed at Chilli, 'Doesn't your boyfriend have a mom you can visit?" the insider says. Chilli, 36, just told her to grow up and walked out laughing."

Things to reflect on:
*Since when is Chilli and Tameka the same age all of a sudden?
*Chilli is 'cool' with Usher's mother still...but hasn't spoken to Usher since the split?!
*Just who is the insider since Usher fired his publicist and rep?! [re: PR folks write up these juicy tidbits!]
*Didn't Chilli dump TJ for Jamie Foxx?!
*Going by Chilli's response, why does this picture of Tameka eyeballing the mess out of a random girl comes to mind:

DEJA VU

Okay the big story this past week was all things Usher. From pulling a Beyonce with R. Kelly on their new story called "Same Girl" to random PDA with his stylist/girlfriend Tameka. Simply put let's all reflect on all this hoopla.

The look on Usher's face while with his girl Tameka Foster is sort of like Deja Vu when he was with Chili:

things that make me go hmm...

Anyhow word just broke out that Usher's former manager/mother Jonetta Patton had a restraining order on Tameka awhile back. Although Usher has put on record that Tameka has NOTHING to do with him firing his mother, is this all apart of Tameka's payback? Jonetta Patton has in the past fired Tameka. Also in the gossip mill, many have said that Tameka and Jonetta do not see eye to eye at all. Is any of this speculation true? Time will only tell... until then folks do speak on this!
