Usher's wife Tameka Foster Raymond was induced into a coma after compliations from a routine surgery at Brazil's São Paulo's Sírio-Libanês hospital, reports E Online. News of Tameka's surgery first hit the blogosphere prior to Usher's scheduled appearance at the 2009 Grammy Awards. The pair just welcomed their second son Naviyd Ely Raymond back in December 2008. UPDATE: Tameka had a heart attack prior to plastic surgery reports Us Weekly.

Eddie Murphy has agreed to provide child support (a estimated $51,000 a month/$10 million support package) for ex-girlfriend Melanie Brown's daughter Angel Iris. Mel B gave birth to Angel Iris on Eddie's birthday (April 3, 2007) and Eddie has subsequently took a DNA test to confirm that he's the father.

British tabloid the News of the World has revealed that Murphy has agreed to a support package totaling more than $10 million, following a 15-month court battle in Los Angeles. [source]

Angela Simmons caught with "Life & Style" magazine at the Pamella Roland fashion show in New York City to talk about her weight loss. As evident on the hit MTV series, "Run's House", Angela and her older sister Vanessa indugled in fitness.

“We’re definitely working out,” Angela tells Life & Style. “I haven’t missed more than three days in a row. When we’re home, I try to exercise every day. I do lots of squats and lunges. I didn’t notice I was losing weight until my trainer told me I’d

As she told PEOPLE.COM, Melanie said, “For anyone with jubbily bits, I’m going to tighten you up, make you laugh and enjoy your workout no matter what level of fitness you are.” This job may perfect for Melanie interesting but that's considering that the combination of her recent baby weight loss and her former "Dancing with The Stars" gig. Speaking of which, Mel B just signed up with "Access Hollywood" to be their correspondent for "DWTS."



The new "Dancing With The Stars" contestant Kim Kardashian filmed a segment for her TV show, "Keeping Up With The Kardashians" at H&M. The 8th Annual Urban BMI Awards was attended by the Jackson family, T.I, Tiny, Bobby Valentino, Ray J, JoJo, Mario, the Simmons sisters, Elise Neal, Tatyana Ali, Christina Milian, Tocarra, Keri Hilson, and Melanie Brown.



The Jackson 5 were awarded with a BMI Icon (re: Lifetime Achievement) award. According to PEOPLE.COM, Ray J, Bobby Valentino, Mario, and Lloyd sang "Never Can Say Goodbye" as a tribute to the Jackson 5.

Speaking of the Jackson clan, Janet hinted at a possible departure from her label home Def Jam Records in a recent interview with Billboard magazine. I can't say if we'll be working with them in the future," Jackson said today (Sept. 4) during a conference call with reporters to promote her upcoming Rock Witchu Tour. "I don't know what the future holds between the two of us." Hopefully the tour will get things going for Janet on the music tip. At least Janet knows something is up with her "Discipline" promo.

In a bid to raise Rock The Vote's voter registration campaign, Christina Aguilera cradled her son Max Liron Bratman as she sung a patriotic melody. After watching this public service announcement, I immediately thought about that memorable all-star Marvin Gaye remake, "What's Going On?" that Christina did years ago. Pretty cool, huh?



Melanie Brown has been busy recording new material for upcoming album. Now according to this tidbit, Mel B wouldn't work with Janet Jackson and Missy Elliott as planned. Melanie scored tracks with Darkchild and Scott Storch for her third solo album. Check out how she described the album: "It's an R&B-pop kind of thing, a cross between early Pink and Destiny's Child. Urban pop. That's what I do best, where I come from, what people know me for, I've recorded four songs so far with some really great people."

Janet Jackson shocked plenty of her core fanbase during a recent interview with SOHH. Because of a dispute with her new label home Island Def Jam Records, Janet admitted that she and her label haven't been able to see eye to eye on song choices ever since her "Feedback" promo.

"That’s pretty difficult to say, only because of the record label at this point. We started off with “Feedback” and the label and myself haven’t quite seen eye to eye since the "Feedback" single so they’ve kind of basically stopped all promotion. I’m trying to figure out a way to say this, but just to say it and to be quite honest, they just stopped all promotion whatsoever on the album so I don’t think you’re going to hear another single off this album." [SOHH]

Not for nothing but didn't her label released two to three singles right after "Feedback"??! Where were the promo campaigns for "Can't B Good", "Luv", and "Rock With U"?!?!? "Discipline" to me was the most consistent album from Janet since "Damita Jo". Well since Janet confirmed that no more singles would be released from "Discipline", anyone else disappointed that your favorite cuts wouldn't be released? (I was hoping for "2Nite" and "Curtains" to be performed.)



As for the good news, Janet has since announced her upcoming "Rock Witchu" tour. Melanie Brown has also mentioned she has a collaboration with Janet in the works. "I not scared of having another try. I am working with the best producers ever. I am now ten tracks in to my new record. I am doing something with Janet Jackson which should be amazing. I am also going to hook up with Missy again".
